History: Here

Personality:

Scorpia sums herself up through a daily affirmation that she makes to herself: "I am brave, strong, loyal and give great hugs. And I am going to be the best friend that I can be!". The fact that she does such daily affirmations also says a lot about her. Scorpia is an excessively nice and friendly person, regardless of being a giant scorpion woman, who endeavors to be the best friend she can be for those she is loyal to. So she does what she can to attempt to bolster the self-esteem of others. She is even capable of engaging in casual conversation with enemies and is often keen to offer hugs or spring them on others.

However, she does not have much of a mental filter, so she can tend to ramble on and accidentally reveal secrets or say things tactlessly. Scorpia can also get nervous and ramble on further due to correcting or clarifying herself, or repeating herself. She can be very bumbling, due to having claws for hands and also because she is not very smart. It can be easy to fool her, and sometimes she can take forever to recognize the oblivious. One example of this would be when Sea Hawk fooled her into thinking he was a safety inspector for the Fright Zone. She did not question his story and was then distracted for a significant amount of time by giving him a tour of the premises. It was not until the end of the "tour" that she recognized Sea Hawk an an enemy who was at the Princess Prom from just the other day.

Despite how friendly and nice she is, she spent most of the series working with the antagonists, the Horde. As part of the Horde, she showed no hesitation when it came to inflicting violence against others and putting them into potentially life-threatening situations. She regarded her life in the Horde as a casual way, as if this was a normal way to live. Part of this seems to be due to her growing up under the Horde's propaganda, which convinced her that princesses were evil and not to be trusted. Another, which was directly stated by Catra on one occasion, is that she is bad at questioning authority figures. This ties into something that Scorpia struggles with through the series. Scorpia mentions how her grandfather gave up her family's kingdom and the Black Garnet to the Horde when they arrived on Etheria. When Scorpia recalls this, she seems keen on rationalizing that her grandfather did the right thing through his actions, even though the evidence suggests otherwise. Between this and her relationship with Catra, it seems that Scorpia has a bad habit of putting others on a pedestal and excusing their negative actions in hopes on focusing on the good parts of them. This effect seems to have been part of why she followed the Horde so loyally for so long - she did not want to believe that they were wrong, and that her grandfather had been horrible.

Then there is her relationship with Catra. Scorpia falls in love with Catra and becomes extremely loyal to her. She even dotes on her, doing everything she can to make her happy, even if it involves trying to swaddle her in her arms while she's frustrated. Her affection for Catra could even distract her easily from her duties, such as one episode where she was assigned to guard one base and was quickly sidetracked by wondering a gift to get for Catra. In turn, though Catra sometimes was friendly towards Scorpia in turn, she was often swift to rebuke her friendliness and insult her. Scorpia remains warm and friendly towards Catra for a long time regardless of how she's treated in turn, but several events build up a development for Scorpia over time. During the battle at the Northern Reaches, Scorpia destroys a First Ones artifact in order to destroy a monster that would have killed Catra. This infuriated Catra, but in doing so, Scorpia accepted the idea that she had to go against Catra's wishes sometimes and risk her wrath in order to do what's best for her. Another development was when Catra knocked out Entrapta in front of Scorpia and had her sent to Beast Island under an accusation of treason that was clear to even Scorpia was completely fabricated. Scorpia complied with her orders, but the guilt ate away at her afterwards, as she had betrayed one friend and sent her to a deadly exile because she did not want to defy Catra. Scorpia initially channeled this feeling into safeguarding Entrapta's robot, Emily, but ultimately it reached the point where she chose to protect Emily over serving Catra. This was the point at which she called Catra a bad friend to her face and left the Horde.

Ever since defecting to the Princesses, Scorpia has been on a road of self-improvement. After joining them, she admitted that she was not even sure what friendship was. With the Princesses, she has been able to more readily embrace her kind nature and undo the Horde's propaganda, as she realized how genuinely nice and good the Princesses really were. Another improvement she made was that she had trouble truly seeing herself as a princess, because of her perceived flaws. Glimmer ultimately helped her to look past that and to accept herself as a princess, which caused her to finally connect with the Black Garnet. Scorpia made another stride for her self esteem later on, when she sang in front of a whole party. Even when she fell under Horde Prime's control, she was able to resist in some ways, such as preventing herself from killing Perfuma and later Bow. Scorpia was also shown to have accepted that Catra was a bad friend for her, but she still cared about her and greeted her with a hug when they were reunited. Through that and her actions over the last two seasons, it seems that Scorpia has grown to acknowledge the negative parts of others and to seek to help out multiple friends instead of putting the person she loves above all else.

It should also be noted that despite generally being dim-witted, Scorpia is capable of being clever and of tricking others. In one instance, she was able to pick up on irregularities in some of the things being said by the apparent Prince Peekablue and quickly deduced that he was actually Double Trouble in disguise. Possibly the biggest instance was the moment that led up to Scorpia calling Catra a bad friend. Scorpia could only get Catra what she wanted (Entrapta's logs) by permanently destroying Emily. Instead of doing that, she presented a random damaged piece of circuitry and pretended that she had extracted it from Emily, but had damaged it in the process with her pincers. Catra was completely fooled by it, because she saw it as believable Scorpia behavior and did not expect Scorpia to lie to her. And yet Scorpia had, and Catra's infuriated reaction was the last thing Scorpia needed to propel herself to the next stage of her journey.

Abilities/Powers/Weaknesses & Warping: Scorpia is incredibly strong, and some abilities come from her physiology; her pincers are great at crushing, and her tail contains a venom that can temporarily stun others or knock them out.

From interacting with her gemstone, the Black Garnet, she gained the power to charge and shoot out electric bolts from her pincers. Although it appears to be electrical, the effect of a bolt is more similar to being hit with an electrical blast. As a power warp, I intend for Scorpia's electricity to drain her life force and weaken her.
Inventory:

2. A baby photo of her with her moms
3. A Horde communicator
